Two NYPD officers saved a livery driver who was stranded by floodwaters Wednesday.
Body camera footage shows officers from the department's Central Park Precinct wading through the flooding, which was caused by Hurricane Ida. They were able to reach the vehicle and carry the driver to safety.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, NYPD officers handled multiple incident because of the severe flooding. A pregnant woman and her husband were rescued from their disabled car in the Bronx, and an elderly woman was pulled out of waist-high water in her apartment.
